DIY MARBLE COUNTERTOPS
Lately I have been *swooning* over the artsy Tumblr pictures where people place objects over a marble background for their blogs or social media pages.
Needless to say, i've been absolutely loving the clean, chic aesthetic!
It didn't take me long to find tons of videos on YouTube about how to create this effect without forking over hundreds of dollars to re-do my countertops.
The good news is, i've watched all the videos so that you don't have to! I have decided that the following is the easiest, most economic way to create your own DIY marble countertops:
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
1. Peel & Stick Back Splash Decorative Granite Contact Paper Self-adhesive Marble Wallpaper
Get it here: Marble Paper Link
That's all folks!!! Wonderful, amiright!?!? :D
Ok, so first you're going to unroll:
2. Cut out the amount you'll need to cover the surface you want to marbleize:
3.Turn the paper around:
4. Start peeling:
5. Place it where you want it to go, then begin to set it in place. P.S., I recommend using a card of some sort to do this part so that you get the air bubbles out!
VWALA!! You're DONE!
In my opinion, this paper is easy to work with and looks beautiful.
TOTAL COST: Around $30 bucks total with tax and shipping.
My countertop has become my new obsession <3 I hope you love it just as much as I do!
