HOW TO DEAL WITH MULTIPLE PASSIONS

They say that twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the things you did do. Yet for some reason, we still function within little boxes. We are conditioned to pick a single career course in life and to believe that this single course is the way to getting the things we are supposed to want out of life. I call BS.

Don't get me wrong. If you find one thing that you completely want to focus all of your energy on and it makes you happy, then that's awesome! But the simple truth is, this is not the case for many of us. In contrast, many of us are multi-passionate people.

So, how do you deal with multiple career passions?

Explore every single one of them. You only fail if you don't try.

Side-note: Not everything you try or are passionate about needs to be something you become an expert in. For example, I love blogging. But does that mean that I need to blog everyday and become a full blown daily blogger with a million dollar blog? No. Blogging only when I am inspired is enough to fulfill my passion for it.

In our twenties we are supposed to go through a lot of soul-searching/trying to figure out what it is that we want to do with our time on earth. Still, many people sit around with ideas that they never execute. The ideas live in their head and only in their head. Imagine all the great ideas that people have had and have never acted on. Think about all the great ideas that we will never see to fruition because people let fear get in the way of their own greatness! Don't let that be you.

You win when you are your truest self. You are your truest self when you are engaged in what brings joy to your heart.

There are no rules to the thing that is YOUR life.

Know that no matter what you do, someone will always have an opinion. Some opinions will be good, some bad. It just is what it is. Don't waste your time living for others. It's important to also avoid not doing things because you're afraid of what people will think of you or that people will judge you for doing what you like.

Live for your art and tell your truth, HBIC. There will be ups and there will be downs. It could be a dizzy journey, but the ups will be worth all the beautiful chaos.

XOXO,

Jen
